Chelsea win as top European clubs head Asia

Meanwhile, Pedro grabbed the only goal of the game as Chelsea defeated Australia's Perth Glory 1-0 in a friendly at the Optus Stadium on Monday.

The Perth Glory-Chelsea friendly was the first of several involving big European sides in Asia as Singapore and China PR are also set to welcome top sides for a series of pre-season friendly matches.

Pedro's fifth minute goal ensured a winning start for new Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri, who has replaced Antonio Conte.
