Bengaluru fight back to hold Kerala Blasters 2-2

BANGALORE: Bengaluru FC fought back from 0-2 down to settle for a 2-2 against Kerala Blasters in ISL at the Kanteerava Stadium here on Wednesday.

Goals from Slavisa Stojanovic and Courage Pekuson had given the visitors the advantage at the break before Sunil Chhetri and Udanta Singh helped their side to equalize.

Bengaluru coach Carles Cuadrat made some few changes in the line-up with winger Kean Lewis put at the right-back in a four-man defence that saw Nishu Kumar start after an injury lay-off.

In attack, 19-year-old Edmund Lalrindika was handed his first start and had Chhetri and Udanta on either flank while Venezuelan striker Miku made his way to the bench after an eight-game layoff.

Blues, who travel to face Chennaiyin FC on Saturday, stretched their lead at the top to four points while Blasters remain ninth.

Mumbai are second with 27 points followed by FC Goa (25) and North-East United (23). (Pic credit: Bengaluru/Twitter)
