KOLKATA: Bengaluru FC will take on Kerala Blasters with a chance to go two points clear at the top of the table when they meet in Kochi, on Monday.

After an opening-day win over Chennaiyin FC and a draw against Jamshedpur at home, Carles Cuadrat’s men picked all points at Pune and Kolkata.

But the Spaniard believes the Blues will have their task cut out.

“We are in the middle of a good moment, but we will be up against a team that is playing at home and more importantly, wants to get back to winning ways. They are unbeaten in the competition and that is a good enough reason for us to understand that it will be tough,” said Cuadrat.

David James’ team kicked the season off with a 2-0 win away at Kolkata before drawing the next four games to keep them at 6th position on the points table. Interestingly, all these games have been goal-scoring draws and Bengaluru’s defence, which has conceded the least number of goals (3) so far this season, will have to be on top of their game at the Nehru Stadium.

The game kicks off at 7.30 pm
