BANGALORE, India: Chennaiyin FC overcame Bengaluru FC 3-2 in the final to clinch their second Indian Super League title here at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium on Saturday.

Sunil Chhetri (9’) gave the hosts the lead in the first half, but a double from Mailson Alves (17’, 45’) and a strike from Raphael Augusto (67’) put Chennaiyin 3-1 up.

"We could've scored more after going 3-1 up. Conceding the second goal was disappointing but we held on for the win," said Chennaiyin coach John Gregory.

The Blues fought back in the final minutes of the second half, but Miku’s (90+1’) late goal only proved to be a consolation for the home side.

Jerry Rinzuala was awarded the Emerging Player of the Match.
