DOHA, Qatar: The Qatar Football Association (QFA) and Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation (AGCFF) President Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani chaired a meeting of the AGCFF Executive Committee to discuss the organisation of the 24th Gulf Cup in Doha.

The meeting was attended by federation secretary-general Jassim Al Rumaihi, assistant secretary-general Ahmed Al Naemi, Mohamed Khalil of Kuwait, Dr Jasim Al Shakeeli of Oman, Dr Hameed Al Shaibani of Yemen and Tariq Ahmed of Iraq.

Al Rumaihi said five teams have agreed to take part in the tournament — Kuwait, Oman, Yemen, Iraq and Qatar.

He added that AGCFF invited all the federations to attend the tournament. “I hope all teams will be present in the tournament,” he said.

While addressing the meeting Al Rumaihi said they were in the process of setting the date of the tournament.

“The proposed date of the tournament will be submitted before committees concerned,” he added.

He added that the AGCFF elections will be held on May 15 during federation’s general assembly meeting in Doha.
