Football fans visit Qatar 2022 installations at Gorky Park

MOSCOW: More than 25,000 football fans visited activations organised by the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) in Gorky Park here as a part of its 2022 FIFA World Cup promotional campaign.  

The activations, which run from July 7-15 include the three-tiered pop-up space, Majlis Qatar, which gives visitors a taste of the atmosphere they can expect in 2022 and provides details of the SC, along with the Qatari stakeholders helping to deliver the tournament.

Meanwhile, Qatar Elements, the world’s first floating multimedia museum, takes visitors through an immersive show that introduces them to Qatari history, culture and traditions.  

The SC has organised these installations to introduce the international football community to Qatar and promote the country as a sporting and cultural hotspot in the lead-up to the Arab world’s first World Cup, which will kick off on November 21, 2022.

Commenting on the success of the activations, the SC’s Communications Director, Fatma Al Nuaimi, said: “We are thrilled with the huge interest we have received from the global football family. 

“Working with our stakeholders, we've introduced thousands of fans to Qatar and given them key details about the kind of tournament we will host in just over four years’ time – namely one that is compact, hospitable to all and family-friendly. We have also showcased the country as a vibrant hub for sports, culture, tourism and innovation.”
