Mohammedan captain Adjah exudes confidence

KOLKATA: Mohammedan Sporting captain Philip Adjah exuded confidence ahead of their 2nd Division League Preliminary Round Group C clash with TRAU FC.

“Both teams are desperate for three points. There is so much at stake. A draw won’t be enough. We’ll go out and play our normal attacking game,” said Adjah.

Mohammedan are currently fourth with 10 points from seven points, but a victory could propel them to second behind Chhinga Veng FC and a final round berth.

TRAU have 13 points from seven matches, and anything less than a win could be over for the hosts.

“We know that we won’t have it all our way. Such games are not easy ones, but we want three points at any cost,” said the Ghanaian.

In their past two matches, the Black Panthers scored seven goals in their previous matches against ATK Reserves and Chhinga Veng without conceding any, with Adjah netting three.

“We’re in a good momentum. Both the teams want to play and win. We lost against them away, but we want to win here,” added Adjah.
