Qatar names team for FIFA World Cup qualifiers against India

DOHA, Qatar: Qatar national coach Felix Sanchez has announced a 24-member squad ahead of their two upcoming Group E 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Afghanistan and India respectively.

The Annabis will take on Afghanistan on September 5 followed by their next match against India on September 10.

Sanchez has announced the squad after the end of the Qatar Stars League’s second round matches.

Oman and Bangladesh are the other sides in the group.

Qatar have already qualified for the World Cup as hosts, but topping their group will ensure a direct spot at the 2023 Asian Cup.

All group winners will qualify directly for the finals, alongside the four best runners-up
