DOHA (Qatar): Al Shahania coach Nabil Anwar hopes his team carries on the good work from the previous match when they face Al Sailiya tomorrow.
“Al Sailiya match will be difficult. They are one of the organized and stable teams in the league. Tunisian coach Sami Trabelsi has been with Al Sailiya for many years, he is one of the factors of their stability and he knows very well the league and the players.
“Al Sailiya have good players who provide good levels, so we will try to put in efforts better than in our last game against Al Ahli, which we were able to win 3-1.
“We must not stop at this level, especially as the team is now in a difficult situation in the last position in the table. That pushes us to double our efforts and forget the victory against Al Ahli. We think about the next four games and how to collect the maximum number of points in order to achieve our target which is to stay in the Qatar Stars league,” said Nabil.
Shahania are coming off from their excellent 3-1 win over Al Ahli. But injuries to key players could prove a problem or two for them.
“The injury worries (Saad Hussein and Kesse Amanguoa) we have are minor. Our victory against Al Ahli was not a surprise, especially when we see that the levels of all clubs are almost close,” added Nabil.
Al Shahania player Anas Al Fadil said, “The preparations for Al Sailiya match have not been different from the one against Al Ahli. We had to correct some minor mistakes and we will work to provide a level better than we did in the last game. We will try to build on the achievement.
“I expect that the result will be positive for Al Shahania. Beating Al Ahli took some pressure off the team and I consider it as a good motivation ahead of the remaining matches.”
