DOHA (Qatar): Al Duhail’s Youssef Msakni has been sidelined due to ankle injury, the medical report revealed on Tuesday.
The medical examinations that underwent showed that he suffered a rupture in the ankle ligaments, due to which he will be absent for one month.
The Tunisian international had been injured in the final training for the team’s match against Al Sadd, which made him outside the options of the coaching staff.
Duhail resumed training in its auxiliary stadium and begin preparations for the upcoming match against Al Khor next Friday evening.
Duhail’s coaching staff divided the players into two groups, the first group includes the main list that played the match against Al Sadd and performed their training in the gym, while the second group which included the alternatives who did not participate in the match, they performed training on the auxiliary stadium.
Duhail lost to Al Sadd, with new recruit Rodrigo Tabata scoring the all-important goal.
Al Sadd now have 41 points, five less than Al Duhail.
However, the title race is more between The Red Knights and second-placed Al Rayyan (45 points) with only two rounds to be played.
