DOHA (Qatar): The Qatar Table Tennis Association (QTTA) on Wednesday has decided form a committee to develop the technicalities and the overall standard at the clubs.
“We are in one boat with the clubs. We are working together for the benefit of Qatar. We look forward to great successes at the international as QTTA has played decision-making roles in Arab, Gulf, and internationally as well,” said QTTA President Khalil Al Mohannadi.
The committee headed by QTTA Secretary General Mohamed Abdullah Saleh also include Ali Faraj (Al Sadd), Ali Abdullah Al Makki, (Al Rayyan), Khaled Al Kuwari (Qatar SC), QTTA technical expert Mounir Basa, QTTA technical secretary Ziyad Abu Karaki and Maher Ahmed.
“We have been striving to make a team that will work on the developing the sport. It’s definitely a wonderful initiative from clubs and deserves thanks. We hope to work together to achieve our desired goals.”
Meanwhile, the QTTA General Assembly, which met here at the Qatar Olympic Committee Hall, adopted a schedule for the competitions in 2021.
Mohamed Abdullah said that the initial calendar of the federation for the new season 2020-2021 will take into account the application of precautionary measures to limit the spread of Coronavirus.
“The health of our children, players, and technical and administrative bodies are most important. Insha Allah, things will go well as we witnessed in the Amir Cup,” said Mohamed.
