DOHA (Qatar): Qatar International Boat Show 2020 (QIBS) has received an overwhelming response from local entrepreneurs, who want to be part of the prestigious show, a high-ranking official said here on Sunday.
“There has been a good response from the Qatari companies who have enrolled and registered themselves to be part of the Boat Show. The fact is that we have been over booked in terms of local companies,” said Khalid Issa Al Mannai, Chairman, Al Mannai Plus Events at a press conference.
“We had a few companies who have approached us to make arrangements for them to be part of the Boat Show. We are trying to find a solution and accommodate but as of now we are overbooked in terms of local entrepreneurs,” he added.
Mohamed Al Yafaei, Head of Public Sector Vodafone said that Vodafone is committed to support the events and sport activities in the country and develop them utilizing its technologies.
“The venue of the show in The-Pearl Qatar receives 5G network in most of the areas enabling organizers and visitors to experience connectivity of international standard from Vodafone,” said Al Yafaei.
The popular event serves as an ideal maritime-industry networking platform and a key business driver for the marine sector and is one of the largest events of its kind in the Middles East.

Al Mannai said all the Ministry of Public Health’s instructions on health safety will be followed both for exhibitors and visitors and adequate arrangements have been made taking into account the Covid19 protocols in mind.
Wasim Al Omar, Sales Manager, Bentley said his company is participating in the VIP section at the show with a dedicated.
“We will exhibit something from Lamborghini sport cars,” said Al Omar.
