KALYANI (India): Chennai City and Aizawl FC will be playing for pride when they meet at the Kalyani Municipal Stadium tomorrow (March 20).
Chennai were left with golden tidings in the relegation battle as NEROCA made life difficult for themselves and finally succumbed to relegation, courtesy of their slump in form.
Although Chennai had won 5-0 against Indian Arrows in their last match on March 11, the Satyasagara coached side will play for pride tomorrow.
Satyasagara said, “I think we have done very well as former champions. For me, even though the results haven’t been good, but in terms of performance, we have done well. In the remaining two matches, we want six points.”
Aizawl were beaten by Indian Arrows 2-1 in their previous match on Tuesday (March 16), but they would be looking for a victory.
“Last game against Arrows was a tough one. Since we had no chances of relegation we went with six changes to the lineup. It was about giving everyone an opportunity to prove themselves,” said Aizawl FC head coach Yan Law.
