DOHA: Ukraine, Russia, China and Spain will lead off the team and individual qualification in Men’s Artistic Gymnastics on the first day of the Tokyo Olympics on July 24.
The draw for the starting order for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in Artistic, Rhythmic, and Trampoline Gymnastics was held at the FIG Office in Lausanne last week.
The MAG gymnasts will perform in the first of three subdivisions.
Individual qualifiers whose routines will not count toward the team score will rotate with their nations, performing after those whose routines will count toward the team score.
Russians will perform first on Still Rings while China will start on Vault.
Japan, the defending Olympic team champions, will perform in subdivision two, beginning on the Parallel Bars.
The Women’s Artistic gymnasts will compete in five subdivisions of qualification on July 25.
The US women, team gold medallists at the 2019 World Championships in Stuttgart (GER) will perform in subdivision three, beginning their competition on Floor Exercise. Italy and Olympic hosts Japan will perform in subdivision one, with the teams of Belgium and Germany in the final subdivision. (Source: FIG)
