LAHORE (Pakistan): Pakistan cricket fans are delighted on the news of New Zealand team’s historic visit to the country and are excited to welcome them in Rawalpindi and Lahore.
New Zealand will arrive in Islamabad on 11 September to play three ODIs and five T20Is.
The ODIs are part of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League and will be played at the Pindi Cricket Stadium on 17, 19 and 21 September, while the Gaddafi Stadium will host the T20Is from 25 September to 3 October.
“I watched New Zealand play in Pakistan 18 years ago. I feel fortunate I will once again see the both sides playing in Pakistan after 18 years,” said Chacha Cricket Sialkot.
“I am 61 years old but I am so passionate and excited about cricket, whenever I watch or talk about the sport, I feel myself as energetic as an 18-year old boy. I am very excited about New Zealand’s tour,” said Chota Chacha Cricket, Lahore.
Meanwhile, during a meeting held between Ramiz Raja, who was appointed on the Pakistan Cricket Board recently, and the players at the National High-Performance Center in Lahore, the former Pakistan captain told the players about his vision and roadmap.
Interim coaches Saqlain Mushtaq and Abdul Razzaq were also present in the meeting.
Raja has been nominated by Patron PCB Imran Khan in the PCB BoG and he will be the next Chairman of the cricket board who will be elected on September 13.
