DOHA: The Racing and Equestrian Club will organize the Sword Festival of HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for horse racing at Al Rayyan Racecourse from Thursday.
As part of its preparations for this festival, the Racing and Equestrian Club announced during a press conference today that QNB Group is the official sponsor of the festival, in addition to sponsoring the Silver Sword Run of HH the Emir, dedicated to purebred Arabian horses, which witnesses the participation of the strongest horses of this breed.
Issa bin Mohammed Al Mohannadi, Chairman of the Racing and Equestrian Club, stressed that the existing cooperation between the club and QNB Group is a true embodiment of a partnership that spanned for three consecutive years, during which the bank contributed to the success of the festival.
The Chairman of the Racing and Equestrian Club expressed his happiness to continue this cooperation and benefit from the common desire between the two parties to continue success and work to put the festival in a great position at the level of horse racing around the world in light of global participation in more than one round.
Al Mohannadi pointed out that this year’s edition is completely different from last year’s edition in terms of the atmosphere and conditions that accompanied “Covid-19”, as many accompanying events for the masses will be held during the current festival.
