DOHA: Qatar Football Association (QFA) is all set to organise the 50th Emir Cup final on March 18, organisers said on Wednesday.
At a media conference held at the Al Sadd club premises on Wednesday, QFA Head of Media Ali Al Salat and Venue Manager Ahmed Al Thani briefed the media on the preparations ahead of the prestigious Amir Cup.
“75 per cent capacity of the stadium for the fans has been approved. We’re waiting to add more but that will depend on the approvals of MOPH and other government agencies,” said Al Salat.
He also added that the tickets can be purchased online from www.qfa.qa website and all fans must adhere to the MOPH COVID-19 protocols.
The finals will be played at 7 pm on Friday, 18 March 2022, at Khalifa International Stadium, a venue for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 that has witnessed some memorable matches and significant events in the past.
The organisers also added that as a part of its promotion, the QFA has undertaken some promotional activities to market the event by organising trophy tours to various schools.
Both the semifinals will be held on March 14.
