After winning his first ATP Masters 1000 title on Sunday at the Miami Open, the Spaniard soared to second place in the ATP Race To Turin, which will decide the eight players who compete at the Nitto ATP Finals from 13-20 November.
Germany’s Alexander Zverev regained third place from Spain’s Rafael Nadal despite his exit from the quarter-finals at the Miami Open.
Norway’s Casper Ruud, who advanced one place for his part, occupy seventh place.
