DOHA: The Hayya Card that will be used for the entry access to the country and stadiums including free transportation has been digitalised, Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy announced yesterday.
“The digital Hayya Card for the FIFA World Cup will allow fans to enter the country, stadiums and provide free access to public transportation services — including metro, bus and taxis,” said Saeed Al Kuwari, Executive Director of Hayya at Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC).
All those who have booked FIFA World Cup tickets should apply for a Hayya Card.
Citizens and residents will have to apply with their their ticket numbers, Qatar ID and date of birth details to apply for Hayya card.
The visitors must procure an accommodation before applying for the Hayya Card besides their ticket and personal informations.
Once approved, the digital version of the fan id will be available in the Hayya mobile app.
“Hayya Digital Card is also available in the physical form for fans and that can be collected from our collection points but the digital one is sufficient,” said Al Kuwari at a press conference.
