DOHA: Executives from the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy attended the Arab Sports Journalists Forum in Oman to discuss the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Khalid Al Mawlawi, Deputy Director General, Marketing, Communications & Event Experience, said excitement was building in Qatar and across the region ahead of the first FIFA World Cup in the Middle East and Arab world.
“With fewer than 100 days to go, Qatar stands ready to host a memorable edition of the FIFA World Cup,” said Al Mawlawi.
“From day one, we have said this is a tournament for all Arabs – so we are happy to be here with our Omani brothers to celebrate this historic moment and discuss how we can maximise the impact of hosting the tournament long after the final whistle on 18 December.”
Fatma Al Nuaimi, Executive Director, Communications & Media, was pleased to meet members of the media in Oman to share key information about Qatar 2022, which will kick off on 20 November at Al Bayt Stadium when hosts Qatar face Ecuador.
“It is clear from our meetings with media in Oman that our tournament resonates in the hearts and minds of people across the region,” said Al Nuaimi.
