DOHA (Qatar): Qatar beat Jersey by 20 runs in the first of the three Twenty20 International matches series on Wednesday night.
In the match played at the Asian Town Cricket Stadium, opener Faisal Javed Khan was the star for Qatar, blasting 61 off just 31 balls, as the hosts made 179 for four after put in to bat.
In reply Jersey lost wickets regularly and only managed 159 for six.
Qatar Cricket Association President Yousuf Jeham Al Kuwari presented the man of the match award to Javed Khan for his fine knock.
