Finidi, who had 62 caps for the Super Eagles, has won Champions League with Ajax Amsterdam.
ABUJA (Nigeria): Former Nigeria international George Finidi has said he is interested to coach the Super Eagles.
Finidi, who had 62 caps for the Super Eagles, is hoping for a chance to impact his knowledge to the younger generation.
“We are ex-players, we are coaches, we had played this game and we know how to interact with players,” Finidi told Brilla FM, but added, “will prefer starting from the age-grade teams.”
The 1995 Champions League-winner said that he would like to impact all that he had learnt during his playing days to young players.
“We are ex-players, we are coaches, we had played this game and we know how to interact with players and also to manage them, which is important as well, so if the opportunity arises, I would take it with open hands,” added the former Ajax and Ipswich Town winger.
“I have been handling the youth players. It’s always good to do what you know how to do best, actually I have been an assistant coach in Mallorca,” said Finidi, who made a name for himself at Ajax in the Netherlands, winning eight major titles including the 1995 Champions League.
