DOHA: The Local Organizing Committee for the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 has announced that the first batch of tickets for the continental championship matches had been sold out, with more than 150,000 tickets sold during the first days of the start of sales.
Sales witnessed a wide response from fans from all over the continent, who rushed to pick up the entirety of the first batch of tickets released by the Local Organizing Committee, with more tickets set to be released in the near future.
Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and India led the way globally with a total of 81,209 tickets sold within the first 24 hours of tournament organizers announcing the launch of ticket sales on Oct. 10, 2023.
24 teams from across Asia will compete for the continents most prestigious football competition across nine stadiums in Qatar between Jan 12 and Feb 10, 2024.
A total of 51 matches will be played within a period of one month. This will be the third time that Qatar has hosted the competition, having successfully organized before in 1988 and 2011.
