DOHA (Qatar): North Korean international Han Kwang-Song scored a brace as reigning champions Al Duhail beat Muaither 4-0 to qualify for Amir Cup quarterfinals here on Thursday evening.

Almoez also got onto the scoring sheet with a powerful shot from outside the penalty area after he received a pass from Sultan Al Braik.

In another Round of 16 match, Al Sadd overcame Al Kharaitiyat 3-1 to move into the quarterfinals.
Baghdad Bounedjah scored a double while Abdulkarim Hassan headed home Hamad Ismail’s cross to put Sadd ahead in the second minute.
Kharaitiyat gave a good account of themselves and even though their top striker Rachid Tiberkanine missed a penalty in the 15th minute, only managing to hit the post, the Moroccan made amends five minutes later when he beat Sadd goalkeeper Meshal Barshim with a swirling freekick.
However, Sadd regained the lead in the 25th minute through Bounedjah who headed in Ali Asad’s cross.
