DOHA: Qatar Football Association President Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani has announced an increase in the prize money for the prestigious Amir Cup.
The tournament’s prize pool has been raised to QR30 million, with the winning team receiving QR20 million and the runner-up securing QR10 million.
This increase will take effect from the 51st edition of the Amir Cup.
The final will be played between Al Sadd and Al Arabi on Friday (May 12).
Similarly, starting with the upcoming 2023-24 season, the Qatar Cup prize money has been increased to QR20 million, with the champion receiving QR15 million and the second-place club receiving QR5 million.
