DOHA (Qatar): Anusree won the Under Arm Ball Pass Challenge, a tweaked version of volleyball, which was recently organised by the Indian Sports Centre (ISC) here.
Archana , who hails from Palakkad district of Kerala, finished second in the online open event which saw 38 participants from Qatar, Kuwait, and India taking part.
The winner received a gift voucher worth US $100 whereas the runner-up got a gift voucher worth US$ 50.
Participants had to send video entries in the qualification round after which twenty eligible entries were shortlisted for the final round.
ISC Qatar functions under the patronage of Indian Embassy and last month they launched the Year of Sports campaign, which was inaugurated by Dr. Deepak Mittal, the Indian Ambassador to Qatar.
Since last month, the ISC had held several virtual tournaments and free online Yoga and Zumba sessions are conducted with an aim to promote sports activities and healthy lifestyle.
