DOHA: Asian champions Qatar wrapped up their training camp ahead of their AFC Asian Cup 2027 and FIFA World Cup 2026 joint qualifiers against Afghanistan in Al Ahsa, Saudi Arabia.
The match will be played at Prince Abdullah bin Jalawi Stadium tomorrow with the reigning Asian champions eyeing their fifth straight victory in Group A.
The Marquez Lopez’s side has already advanced to World Cup qualifiers and they have also confirmed their berth in the next Asian Cup.
Meanwhile, Lebanon have a golden opportunity to revive their Preliminary Joint Qualification – Round 2 campaign when they face history-chasing Palestine here.
Miodrag Radulovic’s side are third in the standings, five points adrift of second placed Palestine, after their 5-0 setback on Matchday Four against leaders Australia, who are through to the next round.
Palestine, however, are on the verge of creating history as they have never progressed past the second round of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
