DOHA: South Korea defeated Chinese Taipei to win the men’s team final at the 25th Asian Table Tennis Championship at Lusail Hall on Friday.
South Korea won the final 3-1 to qualify for next year’s World Championship.
The Koreans succeeded in qualifying for the final by beating India 3-0.
Chinese Taipei qualified for the final after a difficult and exciting victory over Japan by winning 3-2 following a tie-breaker.
In mixed doubles, Hong Kong defeated Uzbekistan 3-0.
