DOHA: Pakistan beat South Korea 3-0 in the Quarterfinal Stage – Pool F of the 21st Asian Senior Men’s Volleyball Championship on Friday.
India also won their match against Uzbekistan in straight sets.
Murad Khan led all scorers during Friday’s opener at Chiba Port Arena, scoring 28 points from 20 attacks, 7 blocks and a service ace to help Pakistan win 3-0 (25-23, 25-22, 25-14).
Pakistan started with good composure in their play, utilizing Usman Faryad Ali as left-side hitter.
In another match, strong contenders China overcame a gritty Qatar 3-2 while two-time silver medallists Kazakhstan, 10th at the previous edition in Iran two years ago, outclassed Hong Kong. China in straight sets 25-16, 25-21, 25-16 in their Pool H 9th-16th classification round.
