CHELMSFORD: Mustafizur Rahman bagged a four-wicket haul as Bangladesh defeated Ireland by four runs in the third and final ODI to clinch the series 2-0 on Sunday.
Chasing a target of 275, Ireland were restricted to 270/9, courtesy for Mustafizur’s spell of 4/44. Earlier, Half-century from Tamim Iqbal and a brilliant knock from Mushfiqur Rahim guided Bangladesh to 274 in third and final ODI against Ireland on Sunday, at the County Ground in Chelmsford.
Asked to bat first, Bangladesh lost early wickets but Iqbal smashed 69 off 82 balls. Later, Rahim scored 45 off 54 balls.
For Ireland, Mark Adair took a four-wicket haul while Andy McBrine and George Dockrell took two wickets each.
