DOHA: The Doha Expo Challenge 3×3 basketball tournament will start from today, according to a press release from Qatar Basketball Federation.
The tournament, titled “Expo 2023_Doha Basketball Challenge,” was announced in the presence of esteemed individuals such as Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, Minister of Municipality, Mohammed Saad Al-Mughaisib, President of the Qatar Basketball Federation, Saadoun Sabah Al-Kuwari, Secretary-General of the Qatar Basketball Federation, and Mohammed Ali Al-Khouri, Secretary-General of Expo 2023 Doha.
The organizing committee has unveiled the match schedule, which will commence at 4:00 pm tomorrow. The Doha team will be competing in two matches, the first against Beijing Club from China, and the second against Ulaanbartu MMC from Mongolia.
It is worth noting that the State of Qatar will be hosting the Expo Doha 2023, under the theme “Green Desert, Better Environment.”
The Qatar Basketball Federation, in collaboration with the Expo Doha 2023 organizing committee, regularly organizes 3×3 competitions featuring top players from around the world. Qatar has a remarkable track record in the 3×3 game, having achieved numerous championships in global sports competitions.
The tournament will showcase the participation of renowned stars from the United States of America, the Philippines, and Europe, who will be competing in the Doha Expo.
The tournament will take place on October 10-11, starting at 4 p.m., and entry to the event will be free for the public. The venue for the tournament is the Bayda Metro Cultural Area.
