Doha, Qatar: Qatar stars League leaders Al Duhail SC officially completed the loan move of Brazilian attacking midfielder Dudu from Palmeiras on Monday.
Duhail said on their website that they signed the former Palmeiras captain, one of the key players for the Brazilain club, in a one-year loan deal.
Duhail had parted ways with Mario Mandzukic earlier this month and in Dudu they have found an apt replacement.
The 28-year-old will complete Duhail’s overseas professionals’ quota and will join Moroccan Medhi Benatia, Youssef Msakni of Tunisia, North Korean Han Kwang-song, and Belgian Edmilson.
Duhail will be hoping to bank on Dudu’s all-round attacking abilities as they look to regain the QSL title and challenge for domestic Cup tournaments and the AFC Champions League.
Duhail, who are four points ahead of second-placed Al Rayyan in the QSL with just five rounds to go, will take on Umm Salal on July 24 upon the resumption of the league after the four-month long break forced by coronavirus pandemic.
