DOHA (Qatar): The FIFA Club World Cup Fan Zone is the “perfect place” to experience the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2019.
“It is a festival of football, showing matches on big screens and offering an electric atmosphere to fans from around the globe. Enjoy live music from amazing artistes and DJs, international food and beverages,” the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) says on its website.
The fan zone is located at Doha Sports Park, next to Doha Golf Club.
Parking is available but people are encouraged to use the Doha Metro, which will offer free matchday travel with printed match tickets.
The fan zone will be open every day from December 9 to 21, from 2pm to midnight.
Entry is for free, and under-18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
First played in 2000, the FIFA Club World Cup brings together the winners of each continent’s premier club competition.
Qatar will host the prestigious tournament for the first time from December 11 to 21, with matches taking place at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium, Khalifa International Stadium and Education City Stadium.
With 161 players from 32 different countries, the tournament will certainly bring with it a global feel.
As many as 18 players have participated in the tournament before including Al Sadd and Monterrey captains Hassan Al Haidous Jose Maria Basanta, who played in 2011 edition.
Liverpool stars Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah are among the stars who will be seen in action at the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2019.
