KOLKATA (India): Gokulam Kerala rode Dennis Antwi’s brace to defeat Mohammedan Sporting 2-1 here at the Kalyani Municipal Stadium on Sunday.
The win take the Malabarians to the share the Hero I-League table with Churchill Brothers and TRAU on 26 points.
Sujit Sadhu had pulled a goal back for the Black Panthers late in the second half.
The result also meant that the I-League will be decided on the last day of the season with Gokulam Kerala, Churchill Brothers, and TRAU FC in contention to lift the trophy.
With Churchill and TRAU sharing points earlier in the day with a 1-1 draw, Gokulam Kerala had to win against Mohammedan , in order to stay in title race.
Luka Majcen’s strike was cancelled out by TRAU’s Phalguni Singh as the teams shared the points — with both goals coming in the first half.
