DOHA: Al Arabi coach Heimir Hallgrimsson said he was happy to work on a couple of young players at the club and exuded confidence of their bright future.
“Players like Jassim Jaber, Abdullah Al Sulaiti, Khalifa Al Maliki and Mahmoud Abunada will be playing for the club over the next 10 years. We not only gained players for this season, we also gained them for the next decade,” said Hallgrimsson.
Arabi play Al Sailiya in the 21st round match in the Qatar Stars League tomorrow.
“I am happy with what we have achieved with our players this season. Of course when you play with young players, they lack experience. I think we have to be more happy because we now have a good number of young players who will have better experience after the season. I think this is necessary for us and for the future of this club, to have a sustainable system in which we can prepare players for the first team,” added the former Iceland national team coach.
“These players will have a commitment with the club and a mentality of diligence in training, and they want to play for this club in the future.”
