PARIS: President of the International Judo Federation Marius Vizer praised Qatar’s preparations to host the 2023 World Judo Championships, which qualifies for the Olympic Games (Paris 2024).
This came during a meeting between President of the Qatar Taekwondo, Judo and Karate Federation Khalid bin Hamad Al Attiyah, and the President of the International Judo Federation, on the sidelines of the Grand Slam Paris 2021.
During the meeting, which dealt with all arrangements for Doha hosting the 2023 World Judo Championships, Vizer affirmed the ability of Qatar to organize the global event in a distinctive and impressive manner, in light of its professional hosting of many major sporting events in recent years.
He explained that the International Judo Federation is cooperating with its Qatari counterpart and strongly supports its hosting of the World Championships, indicating that Doha presented an ideal edition of the Masters Championship and will continue to excel in the World Championships.
For his part, the President of the Qatar Taekwondo, Judo and Karate Federation stressed that Qatar, as usual, will be on time and ready to host the most successful edition of the World Judo Championships, thanks to the great capabilities and experience accumulated by the Qatari sports in hosting major events.
