Ahmedabad: Hosts India beat Pakistan by seven wickets on Saturday to maintain their domination over their traditional rivals in World Cup history.
This was India’s third successive wins in the current edition and eighth against Pakistan overall in the Cricket World Cup.
Set a victory target of 192 to win their marquee match, India achieved the goal in 30.3 overs thanks to some blistering innings by captain Rohit Sharma (86) and Shubman Gill (53 not out).
Earlier, India bowled out Pakistan for 191 runs after they were put in bat by the hosts.
