NEW DELHI: India beat Singapore 3-0 in the inaugural match of the Asia-Oceania World Junior Tennis event at the DLTA Complex on Monday.
Sohini Mohanty and Aishwarya Jadhav won their singles matches in contrasting style.
Sohini beat Saina Vaidya 6-2, 6-4, while Aishwarya blanked Chanya K Ning Ng.
In the doubles, Sai Janvi combined well with Sohini to beat the Singapore pair for the loss of three games.
India will next play Hong Kong which was beaten 3-0 by the fourth seed Korea.
