MANILA (Philippines): The draw of the FIBA Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournaments was held here on Monday with 40 participating countries have their initial pathway toward Paris 2024 laid out.
Offering an opportunity for those nations not playing at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023, the winners of each FIBA Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournaments will line up at one of next July’s FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournaments, with the winners of those clinching spots for Paris 2024.
The FIBA Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournaments will be played from August 12-20.
In the Asia zone, India has been clubbed with Bahrain, South Korea and Chinese Taipei in Group A while Group B feature Saudi Arabia, Syria, Kazakstan and Indonesia.
