DOHA: India will have major headaches going into the third and final match of the ODI series against Australia here tomorrow.
The hosts were bundled out for just 117 runs in the second ODI game at Vizag as their top-order tanked against the pace and swing of Mitchell Starc.
India have not lost an ODI series since 2019 at home, but this time it seems there’re cracks on the citadel.
The home side’s top order failure in the previous game will continue to haunt them as they will find way to tackle the guile of Starc, who ripped through India’s frontline batsmen. Besides, in both matches, India have lost wickets throughout the opening powerplay, which dented the ability to score freely.
India have played 13 ODI matches in the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. They have won 7 and lost 5 matches. In the last 5 matches played at this venue, India have won three and lost two matches.
