BANGKOK (Thailand): Indian star PV Sindhu fell to former world number one Ratchanok Intanon at badminton’s World Tour Finals on Thursday.
Intanon trailed for most of the first game but she found her killer instinct to win 21-18 and claimed the second 21-13.
Both players were coming off an initial loss in the round robin tournament; world number one Tai Tzu-ying beat Sindhu, the Rio Olympics silver medallist, in a three-game thriller on Wednesday.
Intanon, fifth seed, was also upset in three games on Wednesday by Thailand’s 13th-ranked Pornpawee Chochuwong.
Sindhu will face another tough match on Friday against in-form Chochuwong while Intanon will meet Tai.
