MILAN: AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan will return to Milan on Saturday after spending the night in hospital following a heavy collision during Friday’s 4-0 victory over Udinese in Serie A.
The incident occurred in the 51st minute when Maignan, rushing out of his box to intercept the ball, accidentally clashed heads with teammate Alex Jimenez. The impact rendered the French keeper unconscious, prompting immediate medical attention and a stretcher exit from the pitch.
AC Milan confirmed that Maignan was kept under observation overnight but is now stable and will travel back to Milan for further assessment.
