DOHA (Qatar): Al Sadd defeated reigning QSL champions Al Duhail 3-0 in the 2020-2021 Ooredoo Cup in their postponed first round match on Saturday.
With this victory, Sadd climbed to the top with 7 points from two wins, a draw and a loss.
Sadd surged ahead through Nam Tai-hee in the third minute before Saud Al-Nasr scored the second eight minutes later.
Rodrigo Tabata added the third in 83rd minute from a direct free kick.
Al Sadd had beaten Al Khor 1-0 in the previous match last Wednesday, with Hashem Ali netted the winner in the 48th minute for his team’s first win in the tournament.
