DOHA: Qatar achieved its first victory in the joint qualifiers for the 2025 Asian Cup, which will be held in Jeddah, and the 2027 World Cup, which will be hosted by Doha, as it defeated India 69-53 on Friday at the Nehru Indoor Hall.
The results of the four periods were (17-14, 19-17, 14-8, and 19-14) in favor of the Qatari national team.
With this result, the Qatar raised its score to 4 points, while the India remained at 3 points in fourth and last place.
Qatar is scheduled to play its next match against the Iranian national team when it hosts it on Monday evening, November 25, at Al-Gharafa Hall.
Group Five includes Iran and Kazakhstan as well.
