DOHA: The eighth edition of the Qatar Equestrian Tour – Longines Hathab resumed on Thursday evening at the Longines Arena at Al Shaqab.
Organized by the Qatar Equestrian Federation in partnership with Al Shaqab, the ninth round of the championship began with the Future Riders Tour at heights of 60 and 80 cm, followed by the Junior Round at 115 cm.
The Future Riders Tour at 60 cm saw Mubarak Nasser Ali take first place with a time of 60.88 seconds, 0.12 seconds off the ideal time, riding Korapaun. Al Najlaa Abdullah Al Khulaifi came in second with a time of 60.86 seconds, riding Jeel. Jassim Saud Al Fakhroo came in second with a time of 60.26 seconds, riding Cascade.
In the 80cm competition for the same round, Abdullah Faisal Al Manea won first place with a time of 61.06 seconds, 0.06 seconds behind the ideal time, riding Brooq. He was followed in second place by Mohammed Faisal Al Marri with a time of 61.13 seconds, riding Sol Rebel, and third place went to Tamim Saeed Al Jabr with a time of 60.76 seconds, riding Jani.
At the end of the round, Mr. Badr bin Mohammed Al Darwish, President of the Qatar Equestrian Federation, crowned the winners of the Future Knights round.
The junior round was extremely exciting, with more than 80 entries. Khalid Al Hadi won first place with a time of 43.78 seconds on Doremi, followed by Fahad bin Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani in second place with a time of 45.69 seconds on Gabbana, while Hamad Tuwaim Al Marri came in third with a time of 47.25 seconds on Jean Van de Kranenburg.

In the junior category, Fahad bin Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani won first place, followed by Khalid Jassim Al Suwaidi in second place with a time of 48.89 seconds on De Guinet, while Abdullah Khalid Al Jalandani came in third with a time of 52.74 seconds on Corsini.
At the end of the round, Mr. Abdullah Mohammed Al Marri, Chairman of the Protocol Committee at Hathab, crowned the top three finishers.
The amateur round begins today, Friday, at a height of 100 cm, followed by the intermediate round at a height of 135 cm for both the individual and team categories.
The round concludes tomorrow, Saturday, with the dressage rounds for the preliminary, first, and second preliminary tests at the Longines Indoor Arena.
The open round at a height of 125 cm will be held at the outdoor arena, followed by the grand round at a height of 150 cm, along with a differentiation round.
