DOHA (Qatar): Qatar coach Felix Sanchez announced squad for 2022 FIFA World Cup and 2023 AFC Asian Cup joint qualifer against Afghanistan in Tajikistan on November 19.
Qatar have won against Afghanistan (won 6-0), India (0-0 draw) and Bangladesh (won 2-0) since September.
Sanchez will use the match to gauge player fitness and form for the 24th Gulf Cup in Doha from November 27 to December 9.
They are also scheduled take on Singapore in a friendly match this Thursday at home.
Meanwhile, Sanchez, who is also Olympic team coach, named a 31-man squad for the AFC U-23 Championship in Thailand from January 8-26 next year.
The Olympic team qualified by winning the qualifying event in Doha. Qatar drew with Oman 2-2, but beat Afghanistan 2-0 and Nepal 5-0.
