DOHA (Qatar): The Qatar Stars League Club Licensing Committee met recently via remote meeting technology to consider applications from member clubs for QSL Club Licences.
Clubs were assessed in the areas of sporting, infrastructure, personnel, legal, financial and business criteria.
After reviewing the summary of submissions, the Club Licensing Committee agreed to award QSL Club Licences to Al Ahli, Al Arabi, Al Duhail, Al Gharafa, Al Kharaitiyat, Al Khor, Al Rayyan, Al Sadd, Al Sailiya, Al Shahaniya, Al Shamal, Al Wakrah, Markhiya, Mesaimeer, Muaither, Qatar Sports Club and Umm Salal.
QSL Club Licences are valid for 2020-21 season only.
The Club Licensing Committee will meet in October this year to consider applications from member clubs for AFC Club Licences for entry into AFC club competitions in 2021.
This year’s season was restarted on July 24 following the coronavirus pandemic which saw the league stopped in March.
Two rounds of matches remain for the competition with Al Duhail still leading the table despite their 1-0 defeat against Al Sadd last week.
