DOHA: Eight Qatari players will take part in the Asian Snooker Championship that will get under way here from Sunday.
The competition, hosted by Qatar Billiards and Snooker Federation, will be held between September 12 to 16.
Muhanna Al Obaidly, Ahmed Seif, Mohammad Al Binali, Khamis Al Obaidly, Mohammad Al Sharshani, Bashar Hussein, Ali Al Obaidly, and Mansour Al Obaidly will be seen in action at the five-day event.
The Asian competition will be followed by six-red World Championship from September 17 to 21 and GCC Billiards and Snooker Championship (September 22 to 28) amid strict precautionary measures in line with the recommendations of the Ministry of Public Health to limit the spread of the coronavirus.
It will be the first time a country hosts these three major championships in succession, separated by only a few days.
