DOHA: Qatar will kick off their preparatory camp for the AFC U-19 Cup on Friday, Qatar Football Association (QFA) said on Thursday.
The players and the backroom staff will undergo medical protocols before starting the training sessions which will end on July 27.
The former champions are scheduled to take part in the AFC U-19 Cup which will be held in Uzbekistan from October 14 to 31.
Qatar are in Group D alongside Tajikistan, Malaysia and Yemen.
A total of 16 teams will feature in the tournament with the top two in each group of four reaching the quarter-finals.
The top four teams in the tournament will represent Asian at the FIFA U-20 World Cup to be held in Indonesia next year.
