DOHA: Defending champions Al Sadd will conduct their training behind close doors tomorrow with 15 players, the club said in a statement on Sunday.
This would be their first training after the Covid-19 pandemic forced a closure of all sports activities in Qatar.
The Qatar Stars League will restart on July 24, and Sadd is scheduled to meet Al Khor in the 18th round at their home ground.
Sadd coached by former Barcelona great Xavi Hernandez are currently third on the table with 32 points behind Al Duhail (42) and Al Rayyan (38).
Jehad Hudaib (gk), Youssef Al Baloushi (gk), Abdulaziz Al Ansari, Yasser Abu Bakr, Baghdad Bounedjah, Nam Tae-Hee, Hashem Ali, Hamid Ismail, Woo Young, Marco Fabiano, Ayoub Mashhor, Rami Suhail, Husam Kamal, Ahmed Sayyar, Mustafa Tareq were picked after completing their respective Covid-19 tests.
First-team goalkeeper Saad Al Dossari, Meshaal Barsham, Abdul Karim Hassan, Tariq Salman, Pedro Miguel, Boualam Khouki, Akram Afif, Muhammad Waed and Hassan Al Haidous are not added to the squad as they are yet to undergo Covid-19 tests while Ali Asad and Salem Al Hajri are recovering from Achilles tendon injury.
